toy joy way는 이 도시에 함께 살고있는 8명의 여성들이 공동 기획한 프로그램입니다. 광주의 유일한 여성 지향 어덜트 토이샵 <세컨드 웨이>를 응원하기 위해 모인 8명의 여성들은 각자 성, 젠더, 신체, 페미니즘에 대한 다른 욕망을 가지고 있습니다. 기존의 수많은 정해진 것들로부터 다양한 방식으로 해방되어, 그곳에서 타인과 함께 자신을 면밀히 돌아보고 의견을 공유하는 기회를 만들고자 합니다. 섹스토이는 장난감이라는 이름을 가지고 있지만, 그 뒤에 장난감 이상의 무언가가 숨어있지 않을까요?

toy joy way의 모든 프로그램은 성인을 대상으로 합니다. 또한 민감하고 개인적인 주제에 대해 이야기를 하다보니 타인과 불편한 소통을 하시는 분들은 운영자에 의해 제지를 당하실 수 있으니 서로를 배려하는 마음이 필요합니다. 동의없이 다른 참여자의 신상이 노출되는 촬영은 금지이며, 기획팀에서 얼굴이 드러나지 않게 홍보, 기록용으로 사진을 찍을 수 있음을 안내드립니다.
기본적으로 모든 젠더에 열려 있으나, 여성과 성소수자를 환영하며, 몇 가지 프로그램은 필연적으로 여성들만을 대상으로 합니다.

기획자 소개
세컨드 웨이 (장윤선): 세컨드웨이 운영자. 일단 저질렀지만 열심히 수습해본다.
GG배 (기린): 순간 수집가. 순간을 만들고 글과 이미지로 기록한다. 배움을 위한, 향유를 위한, 전복을 위한 사유를 지향한다. 섹슈얼리티는 인류가 풀어내야할 가장 재밌는 숙제이자 문제라고 생각하며 질문을 계속해 나가고자 한다. 그 밖에 돈과 품과 시간이 많이 들지만 쓸모없는 사치스러운 것들을 좋아한다.
신지유: 예술 애호가, 큐레이터, 글 쓰고 싶은 사람, 미술기관들의 킹 오브 코디네이터 등 다양한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 고상한 척하고, 허영을 채워주는 것들을 좋아하면서도 19금 로맨스 판타지 소설을 좋아하는 취향을 들키는 바람에 여기까지 오게 되었다.
보풀아기: 2D의 야함을 선호하며 지역사회에서의 시선을 의식해 이번 기획에서는 숨기고 완화하는 방향의 것으로 이야기를 풀어나가는(?) 중이다.
양다솔: 삶을 어떻게 바라보는지에 대한 고민이 담긴 예술을 전시로 묶어내는 게 즐거워 전시 기획자로 살고 있다. 독립이 두려워 그동안은 기관에 속해 전시 기획을 부업으로 했으나, 현재는 기관에 속해야 할지 독립으로 나아가야 할지 고민을 하던 차에 이 기획을 만났다. 여전히 두렵지만 언젠간 해야 된다는 생각으로 힘을 모아보기로 했다.
조은솔: 물리적으로 검증할 수 없고, 철학적으로 문제가 있으며, 실용적으로 무의미한 것들에 흥미를 갖고 연구한다. 특히, 존재할 수도 존재하지 않을 수도 있는 증명되지 않는 불확실성을 너무 개방적이지 않게 다정하고 집요히 파고든다. 자신만의 순환적 다중세계관은 다수의 세계들이 충돌하여 대폭발(빅뱅)을 일으키고 또다시 충돌하기를 반복한다. 오래된 내용물들은 파괴되고 그것들이 새롭게 변형되거나 튕겨져 나올 때 또 하나의 새로운 우주가 탄생된다.
최영서: 여성이라는 이름 아래 나눌 수 있는 모든 이야기들을 쫓는다. ‘성’에 밝지도 ‘페미니즘’에 밝지도 않지만, 그 모든 것에 조금 더 가까이 닿길 원한다. 여성으로써 필수이자 필요라고 생각했던 숨겨진 욕망에 대한 이야기들을, 이 시간을 통해 유쾌하게 풀어내보고자 한다.
바림 (강민형) 광주와 서울을 오가며 통번역가, 미술 기획자로 살고 있다. @barimgwangju @degitalarts @forkingroom 에서 주로 활동한다. 10년간의 프로젝트를 하나 마치고 새 열정을 찾던 중 세컨드웨이에 닿게 되었다.

toy joy way is a program organized by eight women living together in the city. Gathered to support Gwangju’s only women-oriented adult toy shop, Second Way, each member of our group has unique desires on sexuality, gender, body image, and feminism. By challenging various conventions and stereotypes, our aim is to create opportunities for meaningful self-reflection and the sharing of diverse viewpoints. Although sex toys are commonly seen as “toys” for pleasure, might there be something more than just toys hidden behind them?

The program is mostly in Korean but we offer a casual English translation.
Open to all genders, but we welcome women and sexual minorities, with some programs targeted exclusively at women.
About Organizers:
Yunseon Jang (Second Way): Runs Second Way. She tries her best to fix and reconcile what she has committed.
GG Krin: A Scene Collector. She creates a certain moment and archive it into a scene consisting of texts and images. She strives to contemplate for the sake of her learning, enjoyment, and subversion of values. Sexuality is the most enjoyable project and problem our humankind has been assigned, and so she would like to strike up a conversation on the matter ceaselessly. Plus, she is a person of laborious but useless(her definition of luxury) undertakings.
Shin Jiyu: An art lover who has played various roles – sometimes as an aspiring critic, independent curator, and even as the coordinator for several art institutions. While she may project an air of sophistication, indulging in pursuits that cater to her vanity, she secretly harbours a passion for adult romance fantasy novels.
Bopulagi: Favors eroticism in two dimensions. Being conscious of the public eye, she tries to unfold the story in a concealed and mitigated way.
Yang Dasol: A curator who finds joy in crafting exhibitions that reflect on our perceptions of life. Until now, hesitation towards independence has kept it as a part-time endeavor. However, this program came to her at a time when she was uncertain about remaining with an institution or pursuing independence. Despite the lingering concerns, she is prepared to confront what lies ahead.
Cho Eunsol: Intrigued by the physically unverifiable, philosophically problematic, and practically meaningless things. In particular, she compassionately yet persistently – not too openly – delves into uncertainties that may or may not exist. In her own cyclical multiverse, many worlds collide to create a big bang, and then collide again. The old contents are destroyed and a new universe is born as they are reformed or bounced around.
Choi Youngseo: Chasing all the stories that can be shared under the name of womanhood. She wishes to get a bit closer, despite feeling inexperienced in matters of gender and feminism. Through this program, she wants to joyfully unravel the stories about the hidden desires that are essential and necessary as a woman.
Kang Min-hyung (Barim): A translator and curator in Gwangju and Seoul. Mostly works at @barimgwangju @degitalarts @forkingroom. After completing a decade-long project and in search of a new passion, she came across Second Way.
